Cielito Lounge Chair Set
The chair I created is inspired by a rocking chair I saw while at my uncle Cielito’s house in Laguna, Philippines. The chair had long arms that could also support the weight of the user’s legs while rocking. That initial concept led to the design of the Cielito Lounge Chair, with an adjustable arm and leg rest that can be posed by tightening and loosening screws attached to the chair. Color and Material choice were inspired by nature and weather patterns in the Philippines. I wanted to use waterproof material because the chair is meant for outdoor and patio use, and the Philippines is known for having heavy rain seasons. The end table and light that come with the set have similar adjustable knobs to change their stance. All designs were modeled in Rhino then rendered in Keyshot.
