Prayer Candles

A “prayer” candle inspired by research done on witchcraft and occult stores in Chicago. I wanted to make a ritual candle that was acessible to newcomers to witchcraft. I also wanted to design it in a way to retain their attention after the process of lighting. The candles are thermochromic, meaning they change color when the wax is heated. I believe that element keeps the user more focused on the candle, allowing them to ponder the ritual they are in the process of instead of simply lighting it and walking away. The project was heavily researched including interviews, surveys, analysis related products and more which I made into a navigatable presentation.
